Welcome to our allotment page. Our allotments have proved popular and the waiting list is currently closed.

Berryfields allotments were developed at roman park by the Parish Council in spring 2018. there are 52 half plots which are all leased to local residents to enable them to grow their own produce. since the opening the Council has secured grant funding from Heart of bucks and National Allotment Garden Society to purchase sheds and water butts for the plots, and also a grant from Luton and beds community foundation secured a water bowser, which has been source of water for the plots up until summer 2019, when the solar powered water supply was installed.

Cultivating your own allotment has many benefits including exercise, being out in the fresh air, a way of meeting like minded people and eating fresh home grown food. the views from the allotments of the surrounding countryside are beautiful.

Plots are available to let to Berryfields residents only

Solar water supply

As roman park has no mains water supply it was necessary to find a different source to ensure the plots remained watered throughout the cultivating period.

With the help of a small grant from avdc the parish council has been able to purchase solard powered water supplies for both allotment plots.

However plot holders please be aware that these wells do require a little tlc and will not respond well to being drained constantly and do not have the capacity to have hoses attached to them. if we treat them well they will have a long lifespan.
